Impressive Pre-K to 12 Performance

When it comes to a quality K-12 public education, St. Lawrence County scores above average on the New York State Education Department (NYSED) report card. Compared to their New York State peers, the County’s students place higher graduation rates, and have more students graduating with either a Regents or a Regents Advanced Designation diploma.

The excellence of our K-12 educational institutions is illustrated by U.S. News & World Report ranking Ogdensburg Free Academy among “America’s Best High Schools” in its 2024 rankings of nearly 25,000 public high schools in 50 states and the District of Columbia. The school was chosen because of its top rankings on six factors based on student performance on state assessments and how well the school prepares students for college and future employment.
