Free Entry & Commemorative Coin Challenge

Open Doors to History invited residents and visitors to explore museums, heritage sites, historic buildings, and cultural landmarks through a series of free and donation-based access days celebrating America's 250th anniversary. Along the way, participants met local historians, discovered local stories, earned commemorative challenge coins, and experienced the people and places that shaped our county's history.

A Shared Moment Across St. Lawrence County

Communities across St. Lawrence County came together on July 4 to ring bells in honor of America's 250th anniversary, sharing a countywide moment of remembrance and celebration. More than 1,000 commemorative bells found their way into the hands of residents across STLC, creating a shared moment that now lives on as a keepsake of this historic anniversary.
