Fort de la Presentation
Ogdensburg, NY
SPECIAL EVENT ON-SITE
Look to the skies for Solar Eclipse 2024 from one of the most beautiful vantage points on the mighty St. Lawrence and Oswegatchie Rivers. Rensselaer Point in Ogdensburg, NY holds long held history and is the very ground where Fort de La Présentation was established when it was claimed as New France. Enjoy the beautiful trail and site as you watch the eclipse.
Barnhart Beach & Marina
Massena, NY
SPECIAL EVENT ON-SITE
Barnhart Beach parking lot will be open for parking within Robert Moses State Park. Approximately 250 cars. Patrons can walk to the Marina area for the best viewing and also for the Nicandri Nature Center’s presentations under the Marina Pavilion. Porta-jons will be located near the Beach tollbooth and the Marina Pavilion. Limited staffing on-site to assist with parking. Carry in – carry out. NO overnight accommodations. All traffic in the Park on the 8th will be directed to the designated parking area.
Higley Flow State Park
Colton, NY
Viewing Area Only
Public access open from 8:00am to sunset. The beach is an ideal spot for viewing the eclipse in the Adirondack Foothills. The park will have a limited amount of free viewing glasses for those in attendance. The park has a playground, pavilion, and several charcoal grills in the beach area. Water and bathrooms are available at the Nature Center/Lodge and at the Main Office. No overnight accommodations. Carry in- carry out. Park employees will be on hand to answer questions and offer any assistance.
Coles Creek State Park
Waddington, NY
Viewing Area Only
Main parking lot by the front entrance toll booth parking area can accommodate approx. 25 vehicles. Vehicles will not be permitted beyond tollbooth, just pedestrian traffic. A porta-jon will be on site. Carry in – carry out. Minimal staffing on site during the event. Just parking for viewing. Staff at Coles Creek will check the boat launches as traffic allows. No overnight accommodations.
